SERVICES

UniquelyMothering is geared towards moms of children from birth through elementary school who are seeking community and friendship with other moms who “get it.”

Moms with children demonstrating complex needs such as global developmental delay, social communication concerns, a chromosomal condition, sensory needs, or significant learning and behavioral challenges can find support through one or more of UniquelyMothering’s offerings.

6 Week Support Group for Mothers of Children in Early Intervention (0-5)

In a confidential and intimate setting, connect with other moms to talk about the unique challenges of parenting children (ages 0-5) in early intervention. This small group offers an opportunity to meet local moms on a similar journey, share personal experiences, and exchange resources over six sessions. Each session focuses on a specific topic such as processing your child’s individual needs, keeping a marriage strong, dealing with present/future sibling concerns, managing extended family and friends, and balancing therapy demands with joyful parenting.

Individual Early Intervention Advocacy and Support

Moms new to the early intervention referral process can often feel overwhelmed, anxious, and confused. Having another mom to guide you on what to expect or how to emotionally and logistically navigate the early intervention process can be reassuring and empowering.

UniquelyMothering offers individualized support and consultation tailored to a mom’s specific needs throughout the early intervention process and/or following a diagnosis.

UM Community Events & Speaker Series

We are fortunate to bring in local community members to speak on topics pertinent to our parenting journeys. Previously, UniquelyMothering featured Dr. Soto from Bay Street Pediatrics and The Slate Network, a special education advocacy group. UniquelyMothering also hosts annual social events to get to know one another in a fun and low-key setting.
